Keeping energy costs under control is the number one concern of CEO’s in 2014

The Wall Street Journal’s CEO council listed the top 5 things CEO’s are most worried about in 2014 and energy costs were number one on their list. As more coal fired power plants are being closed and there is uncertainty as to what the EPA will propose regarding limits to carbon dioxide emissions, CEO’s may have to focus on keeping current operations and processes running efficiently.

Rounding out the  top 5 were:

2. Implementation of healthcare reform

3. Unknowns in the global economy

4. Regulatory uncertainty

5. Consumer spending

While many of these concerns might be out of your direct control, controlling how you are using energy in your processes or facilities is something you can.
